Eco-Friendly Bags - just a starting point

Eco-Friendly Bags - just a starting point

You don’t have to look far to see how much plastic ends up in the world around us. From packaging to single-use bottles and disposable utensils, plastics have become a part of everyday life. But while they might seem convenient, their impact on the environment is huge — and nowhere is it more visible than in the mountains we love to play in.

Plastic waste in alpine environments doesn’t just stick around — it can take hundreds of years to break down, leaching chemicals into soil and waterways. Microplastics get carried by streams and rivers, affecting wildlife and ecosystems long before they ever reach the valleys below. For those of us who rely on these places for training, adventure, and inspiration, it’s a wake-up call.

We've chosen to go the route of using Bio-PE packaging for our products. Bio-PE is a plant-based alternative to traditional plastics, made partially from renewable resources. It creates a more sustainable, renewable approach to the same plastics that surround our everyday life.

We know this isn’t perfect — no system is. But small choices, like skipping canisters and scoops and switching to renewable materials, add up over time. By building sustainability into every product from the start, we hope to show that it’s possible to fuel your performance and care for the planet at the same time.

We're even looking at using seaweed based polybags, new product dimensions to improve shipping, and compostable alternatives to continue to make small improvements to our impact on the climate.
